Sevilla and Spain striker Alvaro Negredo is being linked with a big-money move to Premier League Manchester City. City are in desperate need of striking reinforcements after Carlos Tevez left for Serie A club Juventus.
According to Sky, Negredo has emerged as City’s top forward target this summer. New City boss Manuel Pellegrini knows the striker from his time in La Liga. Negredo has been prolific in the last few years and finished as top Spanish goalscorer in La Liga last season with 25 goals.
Negredo has expressed his liking for the Premier League. The 27-year-old has previously been linked with moves to the likes of Everton and West Ham. However, the Spanish international has stated he only wants to move to a club that have Champions League football next season.
One striker that does not seem to be heading for Eastlands is Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo. The 30-year-old is close to sealing a move to Fenerbache in Turkey, according to his agent. Cardozo had also been linked with a move to Premier League newcomers Cardiff.
However, Fenerbache now look to be in pole position to sign the prolific Paraguayan international.
