According to reports from Sky Sports, Newcastle could bring in two French internationals strikers in the shape of Lyon’s Bafetimbi Gomis and QPR’s Loic Remy. Both are expected to move on this summer.
The Magpies have tabled a £6.9million bid for Lyon’s Gomis, while the deal for Remy looks to be a season-long loan deal, with a view to a permanent deal next summer.
Remy was impressive for the Hoops when he arrived in January, but could not help Harry Redknapp’s side being relegated to the Championship. It looks unlikely that he will be playing in the English second tier in the new season.
