Sunderland defender Nyron Nosworthy has completed a switch to Championship outfit Watford. Nosworthy was on loan at Vicarage Road from October and impressed the Hornets sufficiently to secure a permanent switch. The 31 year has signed a two and a half year contract with the club. The transfer fee paid by Watford for his services was not revealed by either the Hornets or Sunderland.
Nosworthy joined Sunderland from Gillingham in 2005 and was a fairly regular player for the Black Cats until 2010, when his opportunities became limited under Steve Bruce. He had two loan spells at Sheffield United in 2010 and 2011.
Watford are 18th in the Championship table, having collected 30 points from their league outings till date.
