Fulham have completed the signing of Algerian defender Rafik Halliche from Portuguese giants SL Benfica. The 23 year, who has signed a three year contract with the Cottagers, moves for an undisclosed fee.
Halliche has become Fulham’s fourth signing of the summer after Phillipe Senderos, Jonathan Greening and Moussa Dembele.
Halliche played in all three of Algeria’s 2010 World Cup fixtures, including the 0-0 stalemate against England.
The Algiers born centre half started his career with NA Hussein Dey and moved to Benfica in 2008. He made his international debut the same year. Halliche has also had a loan stint with Nacional.
