Brazilian left back Fabio Aurelio has rejoined Liverpool on a two year contract after being released by the Reds earlier this summer. The 30 year old was a free agent after the expiry of his contract with the Reds, but new boss Roy Hodgson has moved quickly and resigned Aurelio to solve Liverpool’s left back problem.
Liverpool’s first choice left back after Aurelio’s departure, Emiliano Insua, is set to leave Anfield for Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Aurelio told Liverpoolfc.tv that he was delighted to get a second chance to don the Reds jersey.
Aurelio has made 110 appearances for Liverpool since joining them from Valencia CF in 2006.
