Highly rated Roma striker Stefano Okaka’s agent has revealed that the youngster is open to a move to Premier League side Fulham. Okaka has been interesting the Cottagers with a loan move mooted. The striker has revealed that Craven Cottage is his preferred loan destination, due to the presence of experienced boss Roy Hodgson.
Okaka is a current under-21 international for Italy and is thought of highly at the Giallorossi. However Roma may be persuaded to allow the 20 year-old to leave on a temporary basis as they have recently completed the signing of Italian international striker Luca Toni from Bayern Munich.
Okaka’s agent Domenico Scopelliti is hoping to seal a deal with Roma’s sporting director Daniele Prade. He told calciomercato.it.: “We await Daniele Prade’s return to Italy,”
“If Roma talks with Fulham and there are no problems and an agreement is reached we’ll then speak with Fulham. The deal will be a possible loan for six or 18 months. Fulham’s a great opportunity and Okaka would prefer this over Serie A options.
“Fulham were watching him last season and manager Roy Hodgson on several occasions reiterated his admiration of the player. In Roma, unfortunately, they’ve now signed Toni.”
