It is believed that French side Paris Saint Germain want Ousmane Dembele as part of the deal that will allow Neymar to leave for Barcelona. At the moment discussion is still going on for the deal and is yet to reach a conclusion.
Paris Saint Germain has made it clear that they want to get the Frenchman as part of the deal that will allow the Brazilian international to return to the Nou Camp.
Now we will have to wait to see whether Ousmane Dembele will want to move to Paris Saint Germain. Indeed his agent has made it clear that his client might not be interested and that this could lead to the end of the Neymar saga.
What is clear however is that Neymar will not be playing for Paris Saint Germain again this season and that he will have to leave or spend the rest of the season on the bench. The French supporters are clearly against him playing for the club and he will have to face tremendous pressure should a transfer deal fail to materialise.
Thomas Tuchel has stated that he wants a replacement if ever Neymar is allowed to leave Paris Saint Germain. He feels that his current squad lacks in creative players given that all the Ligue 1 side tend to play defensively when they face them. He believes that a player such as Ousmane Dembele will bring the necessary creativity on the wing and helped face the most stubborn of defences.
We will have to wait to see whether Paris Saint Germain can convince the Frenchman to return to France. We know that Paris Saint Germain has the financial ability to pay Ousmane Dembele but whether the player will like the challenge of playing in the French league is another story.
