According to a Swiss Football Federation article, Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos has transferred to Everton. Neither Arsenal or Everton have officially confirmed the news as of now, but it does seem that the Swiss centre half has moved to Goodison Park on a permanent basis.
Senderos moved to Arsenal from Servette in 2003 for a reported £2.5m fee. After five seasons with the Gunners, he was loaned to AC Milan in August 2008. He made fifteen appearances for the Rossoneri before returning to the Emirates Stadium.
Senderos, son of a Spanish father and Serbian mother, was part of Switzerland’s Euro 2008 team. His arrival at Goodison Park effectively paves the way for Joleon Lescott to join cash rich Man City.
