Stoke City have announced the addition of Steven Nzonzi to their roster after completing the signing of the French midfielder from Blackburn Rovers on transfer deadline day. Nzonzi has transferred for a reported fee of £3.5m, which could rise to £5m. He has put pen to paper a four year contract at the Britannia.
Nzonzi joined Blackburn from French club Amiens in 2009 but wanted to leave the Ewood Park outfit following their relegation from the Premier League last season. Everton and Fulham were both hopeful of securing his services but Nzonzi opted to sign for Stoke, making him one of their three final day recruits along with fellow midfielders Charlie Adam and Maurice Edu.
