French giants Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of defender Thiago Silva from AC Milan. Both clubs have confirmed the transfer and while the transfer fee wasn’t officially unveiled, it is rumoured that Silva and his Milan team mate, Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is expected to follow him to Paris, will together cost the French side £50m.
Brazilian centre half Silva, regarded as one of the best defenders in world football currently, has signed a five year contract with PSG, who were pipped to the French title by Montpellier last season. The Paris outfit have already signed Ezequiel Lavezzi and are expected to confirm a few more high profile signings as the summer progresses.
