Premier League strugglers QPR are set to be busy on transfer deadline day. The Hoops have completed the signing of centre-back Christopher Samba from Russian club Anzhi for an undisclosed fee.
The giant defender made his name in England with Blackburn Rovers, before making the move to Russia in 2012. He hasn’t really settled in the Russian top flight and was believed to be desperate to move back to the Premier League.
Samba is unlikely to be the last signing of the day with a number of players believed to be interesting QPR boss Harry Redknapp. Tottenham midfielders Jermaine Jenas and David Bentley are just two of the players interesting the former-Spurs boss.
Stoke have turned down a bid for striker Peter Crouch, but the Hoops are likely to increase their bid for the beanpole forward. West Brom have also rejected a bid for striker Peter Odemwingie, but the Nigerian is keen on making the move.
