Queens Park Rangers have announced that they have parted company with former Newcastle, Ipswich and West Ham medio Kieron Dyer. Injury prone Dyer, who scored his first ever goal for the club against West Brom in the FA Cup on Saturday has been released from his contract while New Zealand defender Ryan Nelsen has decided to take up a coaching job with MLS outfit Toronto FC.
QPR manager Harry Redknapp said that Dyer, who is one of the highest paid players at the club, did not feature in his future plans.
Meanwhile Dyer’s team mate, New Zealand defender Ryan Nelsen, has been appointed manager of MLS outfit Toronto FC. The Canadian club want him to take charge of affairs in March, but QPR are reportedly mulling over keeping him till the end of the season.
Nelsen has been one of the regulars in QPR’s backline since his move from Tottenham in 2012.
