QPR look set to complete the loan signing of Portsmouth defender Dusko Tosic. However before the deal can be completed they will need permission from the football league. If they do get approval the Serbian international will stay with QPR for the remainder of the season.
The 25 year-old defender only joined Portsmouth in February after being released from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen. However Pompey’s perilous financial position meant that the Premier League kept hold of the player’s registration. The Premier League then agreed to allow Pompey his registration if they allowed Tosic to join a lower league team.
Tosic told the clubs official website: “I am delighted to be here. All I want to do is play games and hopefully I will get that chance here with Queens Park Rangers.
Meanwhile the Championship side have offered a contract to former-Fulham full-back Moritz Volz. The 27 year-old left Craven Cottage last summer when his contract expired. Since then he has been content with media work while waiting for his next move.
Volz was invited to have a trial at the club and he impressed Rangers boss Neil Warnock. He could now sign a contract until the end of the campaign.
