Turkish club Galatasaray has admitted that they are currently in talks to sign Colombian striker Radamel Falcao. The striker has one year remaining on his contract and might be opened to a move to the Turkish side.
Radamel Falcao signed for French club Monaco in 2013 for a fee that was reported to be around £50m from Atletico Madrid. He has since then been loaned to Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea before earning a starting place in the French side.
He has managed to score 83 goals in 139 games for Monaco so far. Galatasaray is keen to strengthen their side in order to compete in the Turkish league. They are currently 8th in the league despite winning the title last season. They have made a host of signings so far this season with Steven Nzonzi and Jean Michel Seri on loan from Roma and Fulham respectively. The Turkish side has also enrolled former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel who was available on a free transfer.
Galatasaray coach believes that the arrival of a player such as Radamel Falcao will be a great asset for the team as he is not only a world class striker but also a player that possess a lot of experience. He believes that the presence of the Colombian striker will not only help the current team but also the young players.
However, there is no concrete offer that has been made so far and discussions are still going on. With only one year left on his contract and without the guarantee that he will be offered a new deal, Radamel Falcao might be opened to a move. He said that he is happy with the French club at the moment but he will consider any offer that comes his way.
