Scottish giants Rangers have agreed a fee with Italian outfit Palermo for the services of Romanian defender Dorin Goian. The 30 year old has flown into Glasgow to discuss personal terms with the Gers. Goian, who was part of Romania’s Euro 2008 squad, will however require a work permit to play for the club and should that arrive in time, he could even lineup for Rangers in Tuesday night’s Champions League qualifier against Malmo FF.
Meanwhile the Gers also announced that they have rejected a bid from Qatari club Lekwhiya for Algerian defender Madjid Bougherra. Gers boss Ally McCoist said they had turned down the offer for Bougherra, widely considered as one of the best central defenders in the SPL at this moment.
