According to reports, Manchester United are the latest big name club to join the race for talented teenager Jadon Sancho, with reports suggesting that the Red Devils would be willing to splash as much as £100m for the 18 year old, who currently plies his trade in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.
United didn’t really make any big name signings in the last summer transfer window- Fred costed them a major sum, but the Brazilian hasn’t exactly been able to become a first team regular this season.
Signing Sancho, who is currently regarded as one of the hottest talents in world football, could be a statement of intent for United. However they are not alone in wanting his signature, with plenty of rival clubs, including United’s Champions League Round of 16 opponents Paris Saint-Germain, keeping tabs on the teen’s progress.
United have also been linked with Gareth Bale, but with age on his side, Sancho might be the preferred option, with many of the opinion that he could follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, who also signed for the Red Devils as a teen back in 2003.
Sancho has made 24 league appearances for BVB this season, with eight goals and 12 assists to his name in the German top flight.
