According to news reports, Liverpool are reportedly planning a summer swoop for FC Copenhagen left back Oscar Wendt. The 25 year old Swedish defender is out of contract at the end of the summer and the Reds have identified him as one potential solution for their left back problem.
Liverpool are currently without a specialist left back, with Paul Konchesky failing to impress and Fabio Aurelio not being able to claim the position as his own. Current manager Kenny Dalglish has used right back Glen Johnson as a stop gap arrangement and also recently fielded young defender Danny Wilson in that position.
However Liverpool are not alone in the chase for Wendt, with Bavarian giants Bayern Munich also reportedly interested in securing the player’s services.
