Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega has admitted that he would be interested in a move to Arsenal. The Colombian international has been heavily linked with Arsene Wenger’s side in recent months and weeks. Wenger will have watched the striker closely in Wigan’s stunning 3-2 victory over the Gunners today.
The 24 year-old striker moved to Lancashire in 2008 from Mexican side Necaxa and has impressed especially in big games. Rodallega sees a move to Arsenal as the next big step in his career.
He told the News of the World: “I have noticed that Arsene Wenger said in public that he wants me, but at the moment all I know is from the press. If an offer has come to the club, I don’t know about it. When I first came to the Premier League I wanted to learn, and of course I thought of playing for a bigger team.
Arsenal have also been linked with Arsene Wenger’s compatriot Charles N’Zogbia. The winger wouldn’t have done his chances of a move any harm with a superb injury-time winner against the Gunners. Wenger may chose to pursuit a summer swoop for the duo.
