New Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers has ruled out the possibility of striker Andy Carroll being loaned out to another club in the current summer window. Carroll was purchased by the Reds from Newcastle United 18 months ago for a jaw dropping £35m but has failed to justify his price tag and there are fears that he won’t fit into the plans of former Swansea gaffer Rodgers, who prefers a crisp passing game instead of the direct approach Carroll is accustomed to.
Both West Ham United and Newcastle United were linked with loan offers for Carroll but Rodgers has quashed those rumours, saying that he will only allow the England forward to leave if a suitable permanent transfer offer comes in.
