American international Robbie Rogers has received his work permit and is expected to complete the formalities of his move to Championship outfit Leeds United next week. Rogers leaves MLS outfit Colombus Crew after four years in which he made over 100 appearances for the club. International clearance for the move and his visa are also expected to be cleared in the coming few days.
Rogers narrowly missed out on the USA squad for the 2010 World Cup. He will sign an eighteen month contract with the option for extension of another year. Rogers had a successful trial with the club following a recommendation made by USMNT gaffer Jurgen Klinsmann to Leeds United manager Simon Grayson.
