According to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague Man Utd won’t be able to lure Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford next summer.
Utd have already stated that they would be interested in re-signing the former Utd hero but will have to pay out huge money to get him.
It is believed United would have to pay Real Madrid at least £80m plus £20m a year in wages to get their man.
Even though United have the financial powers to do that, Balague is adamant a big move is unlikely to happen.
Balague said: “I know for a fact Real Madrid will not let Cristiano go this summer, no way.
“It doesn’t matter that Manchester United have the finances to get him, it doesn’t matter that Cristiano is thinking of coming back – Real Madrid won’t let him go.”
The Red Devils have first option on signing Ronaldo after selling him to Real for £80m back in 2009. Since then he made 171 appearances for Madrid scoring 190 goals.
