Reading have reportedly accepted a bid from Leicester City for skipper Matt Mills. The Foxes have tabled a £4.5m bid for Mills, who is currently in talks with them over a potential move to the Walkers’ Stadium. Mills has less than twelve months left on his current contract with Reading and is yet to pen an extension, thus forcing the Royals to consider bids from rival clubs for their star defender or risk losing him for nothing next summer.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested in securing Mills’ services, but they are yet to come up with a bid that matches Reading’s valuation of the 24 year old.
Should Leicester seal Mills’ signing, it could pave the way for Ivorian defender Sol Bamba to head south for France, with Olympique Marseille very keen on securing his services.
