Representative’s of Palermo goalkeeper Rubinho has denied that his client is heading for Premier League Fulham. Fulham boss Roy Hodgson had been linked with making a £3million move for the Brazilian ace. Rubinho has struggled to get first team football at Palermo after a summer move from Genoa. He had an excellent season at Genoa last season and is highly rated in Italy.
He’s currently second choice behind Salvatore Sirigu and was believed to be considering his future at the club. However his agent has revealed hes not looking to move away from Palermo and that he has not been in touch with anybody from Fulham.
Rubinho’s agent Joao Santos told Mediagol: “Rubinho has a four-year contract with Palermo and he is an important player at the club. I think Palermo know what to do with their key players. We only expect Rubinho to stay because he’s a good keeper.
“I’ve been working in Brazil and I’ve not spoken to anyone, not Fulham or anyone else. The rumours aren’t true. I deny everything that’s been written in recent days. Rubinho is under contract and he’s happy in Palermo. Palermo director Walter Sabatini has always told me that Fernando has to remain in Palermo.”
