Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing is set to join Championship club Bolton on a season-long loan deal. The 23 year-old has slipped down the pecking order at Anfield this season, as Liverpool have a plethora of central midfielders in their squad.
Spearing had also been linked with QPR, Wolves and Aston Villa. However, its Owen Coyle’s side that look to have clinched his signature.
Another Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam is being linked with a move away from Anfield. According to reports from Sky Sports Stoke City have bid £4million for the Scottish international. Adam has previously stated that he wishes to stay at Liverpool and fight for his place in the first team.
However just like Spearing, Adam knows that he will have major competition for a place in the Liverpool starting line-up this season and may have to move on to get regular first team football.
