Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has announced his intention to stay at the club till his contract runs out. The left back has been long linked with a move away from North London, with Manchester United and Watford both said to be previously interested, but has said he is happy to stay at the club till the end of the 2020/21 season, when his contract expires.
In an interview to the Evening Standard, Rose mentioned there would be plenty of talk of a move in the upcoming January window, but dismissed all rumours. Spurs have already said they will not offer him a new deal, a fact Rose has come to terms with, saying that he “respects” Daniel Levy’s decision.
Rose has started 11 games for Spurs this season and says Lilywhites boss Mauricio Pochettino still has faith in his abilities. However he did add that he would think of leaving the club if the manager “stopped called him into his office” and “stopped giving advice”
Rose has been at Spurs for over a decade since joining them from Leeds as a teenager. He has also had loan spells at Watford, Peterborough, Bristol City and Sunderland
