Tottenham Hotspur have made progress in their efforts to sign Olympique Lyonnais keeper Hugo Lloris after OL’s club president J.M. Aulas revealed that “things” had progressed during their talks with the Lilywhites, both “qualitatively” and “quantitatively”. Aulas also revealed that the decision “belongs” to Hugo, revealing that Lyon had given Spurs permission to talk to France’s Euro 2012 skipper.
Spurs are set for a frantic last week in the transfer market after agreeing to sell Luka Modric to Real Madrid and freeing up some much needed funds. Apart from Lloris, a bid has also been made for Rennes medio Yann M’vila, with Shakhtar Donetsk’s Willian also remaining a target. With Porto’s Joao Moutinho looking to be out of their budget range, Spurs manager Andre-Villas Boas is also weighing up Fulham’s Belgian medio Moussa Dembele as an option.
