Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly contemplating a move for Marseille striker Loic Remy. The Lilywhites want to offer L’OM unsettled Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko in exchange. Pavlyuchenko, who scored for Spurs in Saturday’s clash against Cheltenham, has made no secret of his disillusionment at not playing regularly at White Hart Lane and may be ready to move to the south of France for regular football.
Remy, expected to be a key part of France’s Euro 2012 campaign in Poland and Ukraine, has also been linked with a move to Spurs’ bitter London rivals Arsenal.
The 24 year old has a release clause in his contract and although Marseille don’t want to let him go this winter, their hand may be forced if clubs activate the clause.
