Stoke City have reportedly placed a bid around the £5m for Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam. The Scottish medio, who was signed by the Reds from Blackpool last season, doesn’t feature in Brendan Rodgers’ first team plans and has been told to look elsewhere if he wants regular first team football under his belt.
Adam was signed by previous Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish and won the Carling Cup with them, but like fellow Dalglish signings Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing, he hasn’t exactly been able to fit into Rodgers’ vision for the Reds.
Stoke have drawn their first two Premier League games and manager Tony Pulis wants to strengthen his squad before the close of the transfer window.
