Swansea City have completed the signing of Curtis Obeng from non-league Wrexham. The Swans paid their fellow Wrexham outfit a six figure fee, believed to be somewhere in the region of £175,000-£200K for Obeng’s services. The 22 year old has put pen to paper a three and a half year deal at the Liberty Stadium.
As part of the deal that has brought Obeng to the Liberty, Swansea have allowed Wales U-21 captain Daniel Alfei to go on loan to Wrexham till the end of the season in order to boost their chances of Football League promotion.
Obeng is a former Manchester City youth product and was part of the team that lost the 2006 FA Youth Cup to Liverpool.
