Rochdale have completed the signing of striker Michael Symes on loan. The 28 year old joins Dale from Bournemouth and will stay at Spotland till 5th May, 2012.
Symes, a former Everton player, has played for various clubs across the country and his latest stint with Bournemouth was his second with the Cherries, having previously represented them on loan in 2008. He has struggled with injuries this season and the signings of Matt Tubbs and Wes Thomas forced him to look elsewhere for first team football.
Under the terms of the loan agreement, Symes is ineligible to take the field when Rochdale meet Bournemouth in the league on February 18.
