According to Sky Sports Everton and Tottenham have agreed a fee for midfielder Steven Pienaar. The 30 year-old was on-loan at Goodison Park for the second part of last season, making 14 appearances and scoring four goals. Pienaar arrived at Tottenham from Everton for £3million in January 2011.
However, the South African struggled to cement a first team place at White Hart Lane, as Welsh wing wizard Gareth Bale kept him out of the Spurs team. Pienaar ended his Spurs frustration by temporarily joining Everton last January and enjoying a regular run in the team.
Pienaar has been pushing for a move back to Merseyside since his loan deal finished at the end of the season. It now looks like the little South African will get wish. If, as reported a fee has been agreed all that is left now is for Pienaar to agree personal terms, which shouldn’t be a problem considering the fact that he desires the move.
