Spanish striker Fernando Torres has hinted at leaving Stamford Bridge this summer despite completing a double with the Blues this season. Former Liverpool forward Torres made the revelation in an interview to Spanish paper AS, claiming that his role at the Bridge “was not what he had come for”
Torres did not start the Champions League final against Bayern Munich and only made a late appearance as a substitute for Salomon Kalou. He was also not on Chelsea’s list of penalty takers in the shootout that the Blues won 4-3 in dramatic fashion. Torres said that he wanted to take a penalty but “they didn’t let him”
