Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning a summer move for Manchester City right back Micah Richards. Spurs are expected to bid around £15m for the full back, whose future at City looks to be in doubt because of the possible arrival of Dani Alves from Barcelona in the summer.
Spurs currently have both Vedran Corluka and Alan Hutton available as options on the right side of defence, but neither seem to have done enough in manager Harry Redknapp’s books to secure the position on a long term basis.
Richards was also linked with Spurs last summer, but the move failed to materialise. The pacy defender fits into Redknapp’s mode- the gaffer is known for liking speedy players. However a lot will depend on whether or not Spurs can replicate their league success from last season.
