According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham star Gareth Bale is in turmoil after Spurs rejected a world-record bid of £82million from Spanish giants Real Madrid. Bale’s future at White Hart Lane has been in doubt all summer.
Real have made Bale their main transfer target this summer and if reports are to be believed then Los Blancos could return with an improved offer for one of the Premier League’s leading lights. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy seems determined to hold onto his clubs star player, but Bale could now hand in a transfer request, which may force Tottenham’s hand.
