Sheffield United full backs Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker have completed their £8million switch to Tottenham. The pair had also been linked with Everton, but they have now chosen White Hart Lane ahead of Goodison Park.
19 year-old Walker will stay at United for another season and move to Tottenham next summer. Naughton played 40 games for the Yorkshire side last season as they made it to the Championship play-off final, only to be defeated 1-0 by Burnley. Naughton faces a tough fight on his hands to gain regular action at Tottenham with Alan Hutton and Vedran Corluka both already competing for the right back spot for next season.
Its also being reported that Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is interested in signing Manchester City starlet Nedum Onuoha. He again faces competition for the defender from Everton, but the Merseysider’s will be favourites as City manager Mark Hughes is hoping to use Onuoha as bait to sign Everton star Joleon Lescott.
The Toffee’s have already rejected a £15million bid from City for the former Wolves star, but the mega-rich club are likely to come back with a larger bid which could involve the England Under-21 ace moving to Merseyside in part-exchange.
