Tranmere Rovers have completed the double signing of Jake Cassidy and Joe Thompson. Welsh U21 forward Cassidy has joined Rovers on a six month loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers while medio Thompson has arrived on a permanent deal from Rochdale.
Cassidy scored five times in ten appearances for Tranmere last season and was the club’s joint top scorer in 2011/12. He is only nineteen but has already earned caps for Wales at U19 and U21 levels.
Midfielder Thompson, 23, joins TRFC from Rochdale, where he has racked up over a hundred and fifty appearances over the course of six years. He has put pen to paper a two year contract at Prenton Park.
