Turkish international Sanli Tuncay has returned to England by signing for Bolton Wanderers on a season long loan. The former Stoke forward, who moves from German outfit VFL Wolfsburg, has passed a medical and signed a contract and now requires his work permit to be authorised by the Home Office to rubberstamp his transfer. Tuncay made the announcement on social networking site Twitter.
Sakarya born Tuncay played for Sakaryaspor and Fenerbahce in his home country before joining Middlesbrough in 2007. Two years later, he joined Stoke in August 2009, but found success hard to come by with the Potters. Wolfsburg offered him an escape route in January earlier this year which he accepted.
According to reports, Bolton can make his loan move permanent by paying £3m to Wolfsburg at the end of the season.
