According to the Italian press, Manchester United are among the clubs interested in signing Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The 21-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the current season and he is yet to agree an extension, meaning that United and others could potentially sign him on a free this summer.
Donnarumma, who turns 22 later this month, has already racked up 200 appearances for AC Milan, making him the youngest ever player in Serie A to do so. The legendary Gianluigi Buffon had achieved the same feat a few months after his 24th birthday.
Reports in Italy also suggest that Donnarumma, whose agent is Mino Raiola, has a provisional agreement in place with the Red Devils. United currently have David de Gea and Dean Henderson on their books, but the former has been on a downward slide over the last couple of seasons while the latter has been restricted to a handful of appearances despite impressing last season on loan at Sheffield United.
Real Madrid are also said to be interested in Donnarumma, as are the likes of Juve, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
Donnarumma broke into the senior Milan set-up in the 2015/16 season at the tender age of 16, and has also won 22 caps for the Italian national side.
