According to media reports, Manchester United are hot on the trail of Scottish starlet Scott Allan. The 19 year midfielder, who plies his trade for Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League, has caught the eye of several clubs with some brilliant performances for the club this season.
Allan was widely linked with a switch to Newcastle United in the recently concluded summer transfer window, but remained at Tannadice.
Allan’s contract at Tannadice expires at the end of the current 2011/12 season and Dundee United are working towards convincing him to pen a new contract. They have already offered him a fresh three year deal and are hopeful of him continuing his stay with the Tangerines.
Allan has also been capped by Scotland at U21 level.
