The last transfer window saw plenty of Manchester United’s stars move to Serie A, but it appears that the Red Devils might get one to move the other way, with reports in Italy and Spain suggesting that they are interested in Inter Milan’s Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez.
The 22-year-old has been on fire for the Nerazzurri this season, with seven goals and two assists across all competitions- a key reason for Inter’s bright start to the 19/20 campaign under their new manager Antonio Conte. He has found the back of the net in both of Inter’s key Champions League games so far- against Barcelona and Dortmund, and was also on target in their narrow loss to defending champions Juventus.
Martinez joined Inter from his native Argentina in the summer of 2018. He has also been capped internationally by Argentina and was part of the Albiceleste squad that reached the semifinals of the Copa America earlier this year before losing to eventual champions Brazil.
Inter are currently second in Serie A, just a point behind Juve. They will play Bologna away this weekend, followed by a tough trip to Germany to take on BVB in the Champions League.
