Manchester United are waiting to hear whether they have been successful with a £25million bid for former-Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas. The Red Devils launch the bid earlier this week, but have not heard back from the Spanish champions.
The bid is believed to have raised the interest of Fabregas’ former-club Arsenal and United’s arch-rivals Manchester City.
Meanwhile United’s bid for Fabregas will not be funded by the sale of Wayne Rooney, after the English champions stated that the England striker is not for sale this summer. The striker had been subject of a bid from Chelsea on Wednesday.
