A host of players at Liverpool football club seem to want out, as a whole lot is not well with the handling of affairs at Anfield. The rumour mill is abuzz with a lot of team aiming to sign Liverpool’s key players.
Reports from Spain suggest that Fernando Torres has instructed his agent to find him a new club as soon as possible. Whether he prefers a move to a club in England or a move back to Spain is not known. Also, some reports suggest that Jose Mourinho is going to try his luck and make a bid for Liverpool’s captain fantastic Steven Gerrard.
German club Hoffenheim are pursuing Ryan Babel with a lot of interest as a replacement for the impeding departure of Demba Ba. But with the change of managerial guard at Anfield, Babel is reluctant to make a move and wants another crack at getting into the Liverpool starting line-up.
On the other hand, Liverpool themselves are set to test Sevilla’s resistance with a massive £17.5 million bid for striker Alvaro Negredo. Reports suggest that the Reds have made informal contact with Sevilla and a formal bid would be submitted in a week or two. Liverpool have only two recognized strikers on their book in Fernando Torres and David N’Gog.
