The Charles N’Zogbia summer transfer saga seems to be coming to an end after Aston Villa announced that they had agreed a fee with Wigan Athletic for the winger’s services. The Latics had originally rejected Villa’s £9m bid, but agreed to climb down from their £10m valuation of the player by accepting a fresh £9.5m bid. N’Zogbia has not travelled with Wigan on their pre-season tour to Austria and is currently discussing personal terms with Villa.
Sources have revealed that N’Zogbia will put pen to paper a five year deal at Villa that will make him new boss Alex McLeish’s second signing of the summer at the Midlands outfit.
N’Zogbia scored nine league goals for Wigan last season as they narrowly avoided the drop.
