Aston Villa have finally completed their long awaited loan signing of Robbie Keane. The Republic of Ireland striker has joined the Midlands outfit on a short team loan deal, thus following in the footsteps of fellow MLS stars Thierry Henry and Landon Donovan who moved to the Premier League on similar deals to Arsenal and Everton respectively earlier this month.
There are plenty of familiar faces at Villa for Republic of Ireland international Keane- national team mates Shay Given and Richard Dunne and former Spurs marksman Darren Bent all ply their trade at Villa Park.
Keane was on the verge of moving to Villa in 1999 from Wolverhampton, but opted to go to Coventry City instead.
