Aston Villa have completed the signing of Moroccan midfielder Karim El Ahmadi. The 27 year old, who joins Villa from Dutch outfit Feyenoord Rotterdam, becomes Paul Lambert’s first signing since taking over as manager, and has put pen to paper a three year contract with the Villans. Villa have reportedly paid a £2m fee for his services.
El Ahmadi was instrumental in Feyenoord’s second place finish in the Eredivisie last season, thus bringing back Champions League football back to De Kuip.
Ahmadi previously played for Twente, the club in the city of his birth, and has also had a loan stint in the Middle East with Al Ahli Dubai.
