According to the Sunday Mirror a host of Premier League big boys are monitoring the situation of Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke. The Belgium international has been one of the few positives for the Villans in a miserable season.
The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City are now believed to be ready to mount a bid to sign the talented youngster. The 22 year-old striker has scored 11 times this season after joining the Midlanders from Genk for a fee in the region of £6million last summer.
Benteke had been linked with a previous move to Everton prior to joining Villa, but he is now attracting even more attention. Villa are currently fighting or their Premier League lives and should they go down their better players are likely to leave the club. Benteke is one of those better players and he is unlikely to stick around at Villa Park in the Championship.
