Premier League Aston Villa and Everton are believed to be interested in signing Wolves striker Kevin Doyle, who is rated in the £6million bracket. Doyle joined the Midlanders from Reading for £6.5million in 2009 and was one of Wolves better players last season, as Wolves were relegated.
Villa have also been linked with Belgian striker Christian Benteke, but Doyle seems to be an alternative option to the youngster. Everton are also looking to strengthen their strike force and could make a move for the Republic of Ireland international.
Aston Villa have also made a bid for Middlesbrough defender Joe Bennett. The 22 year-old left-back has made nearly a hundred appearances for Boro after coming through the Boro academy. Villa are looking to fill their problem left-back position and Villa boss Paul Lambert sees Bennett as the ideal solution.
