West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City have swapped keepers, with Ben Foster moving to the Hawthorns and Boaz Myhill going in the opposite direction to St.Andrew’s. Both transfers are loans and will be till the end of the 2011/2012 season. Neither loan deal has a recall clause present, meaning that Foster and Myhill will not be returning to their parent clubs till next season.
Both West Brom and Birmingham were looking for goalkeeper reinforcements following the departures of Scott Carson and Maik Taylor respectively. Carson moved to Bursaspor while Taylor is currently a free agent following his release from Blues.
Foster’s first game at West Brom will be a Premier League opener against defending champions Manchester United, his former club.
