West Brom are readying another bid for Ivorian midfielder Chieck Tiote after their £3 million bid was rejected by FC Twente. Tiote played with a lot of confidence in Ivory Coast’s World Cup games. As a result, a lot of Premier League clubs have started showing interest in him. Fulham and Birmingham City also tabled bids of around £2.7 million which were turned down by the Dutch outfit.
West Brom also want to sign Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew. The Baggies are weighing up a £2 million bid for Ayew who has just one year left on his contract at French giants Marseille. Ayew, the son of Abedi Pele, starred in Ghana’s games at the World Cup. West Brom had a chance to take him on loan in January but spurned it. German club Stuttgart are also keen on the 20-year old who spent the better half of last season on loan at Arles-Avignon.
Meanwhile, West Brom want to get rid of their Senegalese defender Abdoullaye Meite. They are ready to pay him £500,000 to leave the club. He is contemplating a switch to French side Lens.
