West Ham United have rejected a bid from Galatasaray for the services of striker Carlton Cole. The Turkish giants reportedly bid £4m for Cole, who has already netted thrice in the Championship this season, and had the offer rejected by the Hammers. However they have time till Monday to consider an improved bid as the Turkish transfer window does not close until Monday night.
Cole rejected a move to Stoke earlier this summer and was the subject of interest of several mid table Premier League clubs but no concrete move materialised before the end of the transfer window. Also West Ham’s inability to sign a replacement till January will be a factor in any decision taken by the Upton Park outfit.
